Genus: Phrurolithus C. L. Koch, 1839. Characters of genus: The species resemble species of Micaria in the Gnaphosidae since they also run about in sunshine in an antlike fashion, but they lack the iredecence of Micaria. The abdomen is marked with white spots, sometimes appearing as lines. Males with a shiny dorsal scutum covering the abdomen.
